These terms govern your use of this site. All written and visual content is our intellectual property unless someone else is credited. You may not scrape, mirror, or republish substantial portions for commercial purposes. Pricing, availability, and product information are provided as accurately as we can manage but may be updated or corrected at any time; the price you see when you confirm an order is the price you pay. We may decline service for any reasonable cause, including out-of-stock items or suspected misuse, and will refund any payment in full. Our liability for defects is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the item itself. Statutory consumer protections in your jurisdiction apply. Any disputes are subject to the courts of the country in which we are registered.
We reply within 24 hours.
You can request a copy of everything we hold on you, ask for any of it to be corrected, withdraw consent for processing, or have your records deleted entirely. We will handle any reasonable request within thirty days without charge. You also have the right to ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable format so you can move it elsewhere. If we ever disagree with you about how something has been handled, you have the right to raise it with your local data-protection authority. Email hello@slatevaultpath.com.
Our headline commitment — an edited gallery within 72 hours of the shoot — applies to standard portrait, product, and event sessions up to a full shooting day. Architecture commissions and multi-day campaigns get a schedule in the estimate instead, because twilight exteriors and composite work simply take longer to do well. If we ever miss a committed deadline for reasons within our control, we take ten percent off the invoice without being asked.
Unless the estimate says otherwise, commercial deliveries include a perpetual licence for your own marketing: web, print, packaging, and internal use. Resale of the images themselves, sublicensing to third parties, and entry into stock libraries need a separate agreement. Editorial and personal portrait clients receive images for personal use with unlimited printing rights.
Reschedule freely up to 48 hours before a session. Inside 48 hours we charge half the session fee, because that slot has usually turned other work away. Our Setagaya studio is up one flight of stairs without a lift — tell us in advance if that is a problem and we will arrange a ground-floor alternative or shoot on location.
Our liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid for the affected assignment. We carry professional insurance for equipment and on-location incidents. These terms are governed by Japanese law, and any dispute that talking cannot solve goes to the Tokyo District Court.
If weather, venue access, or an equipment failure on our side prevents an agreed shoot from happening, we reschedule at the earliest slot that works for you at no extra charge — priority goes ahead of new bookings. Typhoons, earthquakes, transit shutdowns, and other events beyond either side's control cancel the day without penalty to anyone; deposits roll forward to the new date. What we do not do is charge you for a day nature took away, and we ask the same courtesy in reverse: if your venue or product simply is not ready when we arrive, the day still counts as delivered and a return visit is quoted as a new booking.
We show client work on this site and in printed portfolios only with written permission, agreed per project rather than buried in a checkbox. Saying no has no effect on pricing, priority, or how much care your job gets — a good half of our commercial clients decline for confidentiality reasons and we think nothing of it. Permission can be withdrawn at any time and we will remove the images from our channels within ten business days.
